Edgy Bohemian

I'm loving the new summer 2014 catalogue for Dutch design brand HK Living — styled and photographed by Paulina Arcklin, it's a great mix of industrial cool with a little bohemian edge. Perfect. See more over at Est magazine here.

Moments of Beauty

Inspired by antique statuary, this photograph for Interview Russia features actress Anna Chipovskaya as a modern Galatea. Amazing. More from the shoot here.

Atelier: Olsen Ormandy

I've long been an admirer of the stunning Australian jewelry and homewares brand Dinosaur Designs, so it's exciting to hear that the Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy, the husband and wife team behind it, are having an exhibition of their work at the Karen Woodbury Gallery in Melbourne. Called 'Olsen Ormandy: The Art of Dinosaur Designs', the show features paintings, textural resin jewelry and sculptural homeware pieces, all in a rich palette inspired by nature. The show runs from March 6 to March 29 2014.

Family Home

With a family of seven children, Danish eyeglass designer Christina and her husband Per definitely needed plenty of space — especially as the hospitable couple often entertained the friends of their children at dinner, too. Their search eventually led them to a 700 square metre three-winged country  house in North Zealand, which was big enough to give each child their own room plus the large living room and kitchen they wanted for company. Furnished with a mix of Danish design classics, heirlooms and great art, it's an elegant home as well as a spacious one. More here on Bolig.

Weekend

Happy weekend! Hope it's a lovely one. We'll be having a pretty low key one here — weather promises to be utterly awful (lots of rain followed by snow) so staying cosy and dry indoors looks like the thing to do. How about you?

Modern in Suffolk

Architect Lucy Marston wanted a home for her family in rural Suffolk, England that would reference the lovely old farm buildings close by — and would be tailored to the way that she, husband Robert and their two sons lived. The resulting design she came up with is warm and welcoming, with echoes of the traditional. Love the use of colour, too. More here on Dwell.
