The historic 1928 Helsinki apartment of designer and architect Joanna Laajisto and photographer Mikko Ryhänen was an opportunity for them to truly make it exactly how they wanted it for their family. Carefully restored to leave it as untouched as possible, it's now a great relaxed space of modern pieces against a traditional background. More here on Living Corriere.

Today I'm admiring the surreal work of Irish artist Thomas Robson, who mixes traditional portraiture with pop art to great (and at times unsettling) effect. Brilliant. More on his website here.
